Students must choose a historical fiction book (takes place in the past) to read by Friday, November 4th. Students must read the historical fiction book by Thursday, December 1, 2011.
I have several historical fiction books in the classroom library, and the school library has many as well. In addition, here are some online resources if you are interested in buying a book.

Animal Research Project
Fifth graders will prepare and research a report about an animal for science class.The Date of the ORAL REPORT is October 26, 27, 28, 2011 (See detailed instructions stapled in the science notebook.)
During English and Computer classes, students will learn how to conduct research online, find useful information, and prepare a report on their animal.
Students need to look up information about their animal, and bring a print out of the information they found to English class on Wednesday, October 12, 2011.
