Newbery Medal Books

During the next few weeks, we will we working with Newbery Medal Winning Books.

The Newbery Medal was named for eighteenth-century British bookseller John Newbery. We are reading The One and Only Ivan by Katherine Applegate out loud in class. Students will choose h 1st) a Newbery Medal Winner or Honor Book to read independently .  You can find a list of past winners here.
