Dear Fifth Grade Families,
We hope you all had a fantastic holiday season, and we would like to extend our warmest wishes for a happy and healthy new year.
As some of you may already know, a member of our SESO family, Ms. Rose Saavedra, (6th grade science teacher) is facing a serious medical situation and will be undergoing surgery next week in Boston to remove a brain tumor. First of all, we ask that you keep Rose and her family in your thoughts and prayers.
Secondly, as you can imagine, there are many medical and travel expenses that accompany this unexpected medical emergency. As colleagues, we are working to contribute to her medical bills, and would like to ask for your help. In the past, the SESO community has come together to help each other, and we know that we can count on your generous support.
We will each place a jar in our classrooms, in which students may place donations if they would like to contribute. This is completely voluntary and any amount donated would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your positive thoughts, prayers, and contributions.
Sincerely,
Fifth Grade Team Teachers
